Buns, sweet yeast cakes and cinnamon roll is made of the same dough with some small variations in the spices, filling and icing.

- 3.5 oz (100 gr) soft butter
- 2 c (5 dl) milk
- 2.5 oz (75 gr) fresh yeast (1.5 packs dry yeast)
- 3.5 oz (100 gr) sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 28.5 – 30 oz (800 – 850 gr) of flour
- 1 tsp kardamom (optional)
- 1 egg
Start by taking 7 oz (200 grams) of the flour into a separat bowl, the remaining flour poures into the mixing bowl with the butter cut into small cubes. Add all the other dry ingredients. Pour in lukewarm milk while the mixer is running on low speed. Knead until the dough is loose and smooth.
Then add little by little of the flour that was set aside.
When the dough loosens from bowl, ther is added enough flour.
Set the bowl aside covered, in a warm place for 30 – 45 minutes to rise. Until it has raised into twice it`s sice.
Devide into 20 buns, shape and set the buns on a baking tray lined with baking paper and let them to rise for about 30 minutes covered with a clean kitchen cloth .
Beat an eggs lightly together with a fork and brush the buns just before they are going into the oven.
Bake at 425 F degrees for 9 – 12 minutes in the middle section in the oven!
Cool on wire rack.
