Oreo cream cheese -and chocolate mousse cake !

Today is my dear husband’s birthday, and this cake is on the menu !

Don`t be scared from all steps  to get  this cake done, it seeme a little mush, but when you’re at it, it will all be done with in an hour.
If you  would simplify something, then buy a complete package chocolate mousse  and follow the directions on the package. But I hardly think you will save any time doing that.
And it’s a greate feeling to have made everything from scratch.

Use a spring form  9″ or 10″ !

Crust!

  • 300 gram Oreos
  • 100 gram butter

Chocolate mousse!

  • 200 grams of good quality chocolate
  • 50 gram butter
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 egg whites
  • 2 dl  heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

Cream Cheese mousse!

  • 200 grams Philadelphiaost
  • 75 gram sugar
  • 1 tsp lemon drops
  • a pinch  ofsalt
  • 2.5 dl heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 50 gram Oreos

* Some whipped cream for garnish if desired, chocolate sauce and some crushed crackers!

Chocolate Sauce!

  • 0.6 ml water
  • 1.5 tbsp sugar
  • 75 gram sjololade
  • 20 gram butter
  • 3 tablespoons heavy whipping cream

Crust!

Crush 300 gram of Oreos to crumbs. (The whole biscuit with filling and all)
Melt the butter and add to the the Oreo crumbs, blend well. Spread this in spring form and press gently to get a leveled  crust. Refridgerate.

Chocolate mousse!

Melt  chocolate and butter in a double boiler.

Remove from heat and add eggs and comine to a smooth cream. Set aside.

Whip egg whites to white and fluffy, add the sugar and mix to shiny.
Add whipped egg whites to the chocolate mixture in 3 additions, gentlty foldig with rybber spatula. Sett a side.

Whipp the cream with 1 tbs sugar. To save a little dish washing, just use the same bowl you whiped the egg white.
Fold the cream gently into the chocolate.

Pour the chocolate mousse over the oreo crust, level with a spatula. PS! Don`t forget  to lick the bowl:)

Cream Cheese mousse!

Cream together cheese, sugar, lemon and salt to soft,  fluffy cream. Set a side.
Whip heavy cream and sugar to cream  add cream cheese mixture. Gently blend together.

Grind  50 gram Oreos  and blend in the cream cheese mousse.

Pour the cream cheese mousse over chocolate mousen and level it with a spatula. Refrigerate at least 6 hours or preferably overnight.

Place the cake on platter.

Whip cream with 1 teaspoon sugar per dl and make some cream peaks around the edges of the cake. Crush 5 Oreos and drizzle in center and pour some chocolate sauce on top.

Chocolate sauce !

In a litle sauce pan boil water and sugar, remove from heat. Add the butter and chocolate, melt and stir, finaly add heavy cream.

    Thank you! A friend of mine has been talking about this cake for so long. He said, it was the best cake, he had ever tasted. I’m so glad, I finally found it. I’ll make it as soon, I get the chance. It’s going to be a gift for my mom. I’m sure it will be great. Chocolate, cheesecake and oreos. Yum yum 😀
