This is a good chocolate cake that you can make with milk or soy milk. A simple basic recipe I use for cupcakes or sheet cake .
Ansamble everything you need and let it come to room temperature before starting making the cake.
- 280 gram flour
- 3 tablespoons cocoa
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 250 grams sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract / vanilla powder
- 2 dl canola oil
- 2 dl milk / soy milk
- 1 / 2 teaspoon salt
- 3 eggs
- 1 tablespoon water
I am always «whining» about vanilla and now I`ll do it again You will improve the tast of your cakes if real vanilla has been used instead of artificial flavored vanilla.
Mix together canola oil and milk in a bowl and set aside. In another bowl sift together all dry ingrediences (exept for the sugar).
Add eggs and sugar in the bowl of your standing mixer and whip it until light and fluffy for about 8 – 10 minutes. Reduce speed to medium and add 1 tablespoon water and let the machine run for about 5 more minutes .
Switch to blade (thats the one that looks like a K Kenwoodmaskinen). At medium speed mix in the wet and dry ingrediences alternately in 3 additions. Stop machine and scrape the edges and lift from the bottom of the bowl, with a rubber spatula. Start mixer at full speed for a few seconds. STOP!
Line a litle sheet pan 10″ x 14″ with baking paper or grease it. Set a baking tray in lower section the of the oven.
Bake 355 F degrees for 25 – 30minutter. Baking time for cupcakes: 15 – 18 minutes.
To a stick incerted in the midle of the cake comes out dry.
